1985 – ORIGINAL VISION:
A picture in my mind’s eye of preaching and praying in stadiums full of people in Africa
2000 – 2009: VISIONS, PROPHECIES, & PREPARATION
The Lord took me, Cyndy (in a vision, multiple times), to a cliff overlooking rolling hills as far as the eye could see. each hill was covered in trees and he said, “Each tree represents a life whom your words will touch.” This was followed by nine years of preparations, deep heart works, and trusting forward with the Lord.
“They preached with joyful urgency that life could be radically different; right and left they sent the demons packing; they brought wellness to the sick, anointing their bodies, healing their spirits.” Mark 6:12-13 MSG
2009 – 2011: BEGINNING
In January 2009 we launched Capturing Courage International. We began with Femininity Events, evening gathering as women to come to appreciation of being women. During these years we also hosted Femininity Renewal Weekends About 50 women were blessed through these weekends. Always waiting for the release into the international work the Lord had been telling us about for some time.
2011 – 2013: INTERNATIONAL
My first international ministry trip was in 2011. I went to one country and to two communities. I stayed with the people. We shared together and ministered in two pastors conferences.
Capturing God’s Heart – Our topical Bible Study was going out monthly to about 20 countries.
- 2011 – 2013 we were in Uganda three-times and Mozambique once.
2014 – 2016: WRITING
In October of 2014 I began putting together what has become our College of Capturing Courage International Ministries. This was in direct response to many requests, “Cyndy, we want a CCIM presence in the country even when you are not here. Would you please take what you do and put it into a course that we could learn from.”
- 2014 – 2016 I was in Uganda four-times, India three-times, Philippines once, Pakistan once, and Kenya once.
- 2016 we had our very first Teacher Training days for those wanting to use the course via their ministries and in their areas.
- By this time I had ministered in over 300 village churches in 6 countries.
2017 – Mid 2018: MULTIPLICATION
During 2017 we began to build our International Team at CCIM. We brought on our East Africa College Co-ordinator as necessary response to the many invites for the course in Uganda and beyond.
We finished writing the college course and continued in earnest on the teachers manual, the testing, core learning outcomes, with requirements for certification. We continued with Teacher Trainings for the course in numerous places within Uganda, testing and refining how to have these.
- 2017 – 2018 we were in India twice, Uganda four-times.
Mid 2018 – Present: PAUSE, TRANSLATIONS, PRODUCTIVITY
The latter half of 2018 to mid-2019 I’ve been home resting and restoring while working on additional writing requirements and projects. Meanwhile, our Translation Teams in India, Kenya, and Uganda have been working on Module ONE of our College Course into Telagu, Swahili, and Lugandan.
CCIM was at Vancouver’s Missions Fest for the first time. Then, I was off to Pakistan for 6 weeks in February and March 2019.
This sabbatical time has contained much contrasting lessons as we seek to move forward into the next decade with renewed sustainability.
- Overseas, on-the-ground ministry was paused until May 2019, when I will be in Uganda once more, and then Zambia for the first time.
10 Years of Capturing Courage International Ministries!
CCIM reached 10 Years in January of 2019! We give the Lord all the glory and the honor and bless his great name for all that we are privileged to be and do here at CCIM.
